The majority of my social work career has been spent in crisis. When an individual or family invites me into their challenges and allows me to support them during difficult transitions, I feel profoundly honored. I always ensure to respect the family's value, worth, and individual needs, while working collabroativel to deeply understand and validate the unique challenges they face. Working with, and witnessing the impact of crisis and stress on families has led me to create a space just for them and their unique needs.

My specialization lies in providing comprehensive support for first-responder families. I am dedicated to helping them prepare for, navigate through, and transition out of the unique challenges of first-responder life, ensuring they feel secure and well-cared for every step of the way.

If you are a chief who wants to establish a support system for your department, if you have a deep affection for first responders but are struggling to understand their experiences, or if you are the partner of a first responder seeking a space where the difficulties of your relationship will be acknowledged and validated, Balance Therapy Mental Health Consultation is eager to partner with you on this uniquely beautiful and challenging journey.

Dandelions are remarkable for their ability to thrive in challenging conditions. Their deep roots can penetrate compacted soil and even cracks in concrete, making them incredibly resilient.

The deep and strong root system makes it difficult for the plant to be fully eradicated, even if the above-ground portion is removed. This resilience allows dandelions to persist and their adaptability is part of what makes them such persistent and widespread plants.

It might seem like an unusual pairing, but there are undeniable parallels between first responders’ families and dandelions. Dandelions are often seen as resilient and adaptable, thriving in tough conditions—traits that are required of the people who love first responders.

Balance Therapy and Mental Health Consultation celebrate the value, worth, and beauty of all families.
